When it comes to the average driver, the infotainment system can be even more important than the engine. Toyota decided to try to solve the problem by introducing a new infotainment system Toyota Intelligent System (TIS), which is based on the tablet Nexus 7. TIS provides a docking station for the Nexus 7, through which the tablet will have access to all the key vehicle systems, while providing navigation, communication 4G, voice recognition, multimedia services to control the audio system. When Nexus will expire in July 2013, ASUS will release a new compatible tablets, which can be fitted in the infotainment system. By the way, drivers can be connected to via NFC TIS smartphones or other devices for navigation and music. It is not clear when Toyota will release cars with TIS.
