Google continues to roll out an update to Android 5.1 Lollipop reference series devices Nexus. Following the Nexus 5 and 6 received a new firmware LMY47D tablet Samsung Nexus 10, released back in 2012. Resource YouMobile reports that some users are already receiving device OTA-update.
Recall that Android 5.1 Lollipop mostly fixes bugs and brings small optimization and changes to the interface compared to Android 5.0. Nevertheless, the new OS also significantly increases the speed of reading and writing data on devices that use end encryption, and brings new security feature – Device Protection (prevents reset a locked device without entering account Google).
It should be added that Android 5.1 is not corrected a problem with the memory leak that appeared in the Android 5.0 and sometimes leads to undesirable close background applications and reduce the amount of free memory. Google has recognized this error – correction should be part of the upcoming update Android 5.1.1.
Currently, among the actual Nexus-devices Android 5.1 update got the Nexus and Nexus 6 5 as well as the tablet Nexus 7 2012 ( Wi-Fi-version). Thus tablets Nexus July 2013 (Wi-Fi and LTE), Nexus 9 (Wi-Fi and LTE) and the Nexus 4 have not yet received this update. However, apparently, Google will release a fresh firmware in the coming weeks.
