Attackers can make

This is the so-called flash-sms, short messages that are immediately displayed on the screen of the device and are not automatically saved in its memory. When a message arrives on Nexus-device, it appears at the top of all active windows, and without any notification sound – unlike conventional SMS. In other words, the user will not notice flash SMS while not look at the screen.
As it turned out, if sent to the Nexus-phone row about three dozen flash SMS, his behavior changed to unpredictable. Usually the machine simply reboots. Moreover, if this requires a PIN to unlock the SIM card, smart phone will not connect to the network after completion of the download. Well, the user of this, most likely will not notice, though will not be available for incoming.
SometimesNexus-device temporarily loses access to cellular, which, however, over time, is automatically restored, but without a connection to the mobile Internet. One way out: reboot.
Sometimes everything flows smoothly enough: only messaging application crashes own work – the system automatically restarts it, and everything is functioning properly.
Google aware of the problem with flash SMS long (at least half a year), and the Internet Corporation promised to eliminate it in Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. That did not happen: the exploit is valid for the latest Android 4.4 KitKat.
