PCWorld reports that the latest smartphones Nexus can force reboot hang or lose connection to the network due to a problem processing a certain type of SMS. Safety Specialist Alec Bogdan (Bogdan Alecu), reportedly found that smartphone Galaxy Nexus, Nexus Nexus 4 and 5 contain a vulnerability that allows attackers to prevent the use of the machine.
By sending your smartphone about 30 Instant Messaging (Flash SMS), immediately displayed on the screen of the device and require action from the user, an attacker can deduce smartphone failure – the device can lose internet connection or reboot, if not sooner SMS rejected. The problem also lies in the fact that the Nexus-phones do not report incoming Flash SMS by sound, allowing an attacker to send a whole sequence of messages to the user will notice it.

Bogdan notes that the problem affects devices Nexus, running Android versions of Ice Cream Sandwich to KitKat, but the other 20 were tested on Android-smartphones reproduce it failed. Expert notes that reported this problem to Google, and although he was assured that a patch will be released along with Android 4.3, the vulnerability is still present.
Of course, the average user does not send mass Flash SMS, but it is quite possible with the help of special applications. Not yet discovered the deeper flaws that could be caused by the said problem (for example, the possibility of execution of malicious code), but Mr. Alec convinced that this is a serious security hole that Google should fix.
Google introduced the Nexus last reference 5 together with the platform Android 4.4 KitKat in late October at an event in San Francisco, the search giant LG has improved with all the key characteristics: it has received a new processor, screen, camera, battery, and so hereinafter.
