If the rumors do not deceive, Nexus 6P will be the last Nexus smartphone from Google. “Nexus” is dead, long live thePixel“! Before that happens, let’s compare it with the best product from Apple – the iPhone 7 Plus. Both phablets. Both flagships.
1 size
only one millimeter in height vary in both dimensions of the housing. Coincidence? If Yes, then virtually complete.
2 and weight
the old flagship from Google weighs 6 percent more – 188 grams vs. 178.
3 – structure
Aluminium Apple traditionally offers. Google has also added a small amount of glass around the cells – glass bar, but, in principle, also offers the aluminum enclosure.
4 – resistance
Apple has added protection from water and dust. In theory, you can submerge the smartphone in the depth of about a meter. Google this was not an option.
5 – colors
available In a choice of a wide palette. Google offers aluminum, graphite, frosty and Golden shades, and Apple–black, matte black (the most quickly erasable), gold, silver and rose gold.
6 – display
Despite the identical dimensions, Google offers a slightly larger screen. The difference of 0.2 inches is possible thanks to a smaller bezel. Also, the phablet from Google better the picture resolution: 2560 by 1440 pixels with a density of 518 units. Opponent – Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) with a density of 401 unit. Also display type AMOLED gives better picture quality for the old flagship of Google. Apple traditionally – IPS. But the iPhone offers an understanding of the technology tapping the screen – Touch the Force.
7 – camera
Dual camera the latest iPhone allows you to take better pictures, than can afford a smartphone from Google. Besides, it has optical image stabilization. But the old flagship better than the front camera.
8 – battery
Better battery from Nexus 6P. It is more (3450 mA·h to 2900) and supports quick charging.
9 CPU
a New processor from Apple, though A10 Quad core, but works faster than the already tired for the year of OCTA core Snapdragon 810. Besides, he had problems with overheating, and its working frequency is lowered.
10 – memory
a Draw. Three-Three.
11 – memory
256 GB is the ceiling for the new iPhone. 128 GB is the ceiling for the old flagship. Both smartphone are not working with additional memory cards.
12 – fingerprint sensors
both smartphones is, they are located on the front Home keys.
13 – mobile payments
Apple pay vs. Android pay.
14 – soft
IOS 10 on the iPhone 7 Plus right out of the box. Nexus 6P will soon receive Android Nougat.
15 release, price and output
In October 2015 appeared Nexus 6P with a starting price of 499 $ . In September 2016 announced iPhone 7 Plus with a starting price of 769 $ . If you take the maximum configuration (128 and 256 GB respectively), the difference in price is doubled. And in the end we are all the same aluminum casing, front-facing fingerprint sensors, similar dimensions, and even 6P Nexus offers a better display (with the exception of understanding the force of pressing on the screen) and the battery (in the first place the question about the possibility of rapid charging). IPhone 7 Plus offers protection from water, a faster processor and double the main camera. Is it worth the difference more than 400 $ ?
the Best option would be to wait for the new flagships from Google, which will be released October 4. For the price comparable or less than the new iPhone, they may offer more exciting options, so I don’t have to choose.
