Google is preparing a Nexus tablet from Huawei hybrid OS for Andromeda – Ferra

As we have already mentioned, Google is developing a new hybrid OS called Andromeda, which combines the features of Android and Chrome OS. Despite the fact that Andromeda is tested on the existing Nexus 9, the company has no plans for public release of Andromeda on the Nexus 9. Apparently, based on it will be released not only ultra-thin notebook 'Pixel 3, is scheduled for the third quarter of 2017, but tablet under the Nexus brand manufactured by Huawei.


this was told by the resource 9to5Google. The tablet will be the successor of Nexus 7 and can get a 7-inch display and 4 GB of RAM. The alleged name — Huawei 7P.

Regarding OS Andromeda for Huawei 7P, opinions differ. According to one version, the tablet will debut as the unit “for developers”. Out of the box it will work on the basis of the usual Android, but will also receive the preview version of Andromeda “for developers”.
