One of the features of the smartphones of the Nexus line is that even after the termination of official support for third-party developers are still producing new firmware. For example, the owners of Galaxy Nexus had the opportunity to install on their smartphones the newest Android 7.1. Of course, we are not talking about official update – update released to third-party developers, known under the aliases MWisBest and Ziyan.
Judging by the reviews, the firmware is stable, but it still present some problems. In particular, was seen failures in the GPS and mobile data.
Recall that the Galaxy Nexus was released in 2011 and received a 4.65-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, dual-core processor with a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 16 GB. Latest official firmware for this “Google phone” was Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
